Approximately 16 lakh students will participate in the Maharashtra Class 10 exams starting February 20. This year, there is an increase of 3,879 candidates compared to last year, and students will receive an extra 10 minutes for each assessment.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has announced that around 16 lakh students will take part in the Class 10 examinations beginning on February 20. This year, the number of candidates has risen by 3,879 compared to the previous year.

Exam Details

In a notable change, all students will be given an additional 10 minutes for each exam. This adjustment is aimed at providing students with more time to complete their assessments. The board encourages students to arrive at their examination centers at least 30 minutes early to ensure a smooth start to the exams.

According to a report by NDTV Business (Profit), the increase in student enrollment reflects a growing interest in the Class 10 examinations within the state. The board is prepared to accommodate the larger number of candidates and has implemented these changes to support their performance during the exams.
